"For The All Year Round Club, Nick Jordan's installation features a sequence of small canvases embellished with some tree motifs and assorted shrubs. These topographic depictions have been partly lifted and rearranged from Jimmy Corrigan: The Smartest Kid On Earth, a recent popular graphic novel by Chris Ware. Also included is a silhouetted figure, with tilted hat, holding a guitar. The installation is completed by a dvd of real-time landscape images, played back on a technician's portable video service kit. The work proposes themes of 'fictional' landscape and a personal mapping of a particular cultural territory, or motif.

"The exhibition will be complimented by This World Can't Stand Long - a collection of vintage country-blues and various cognates, selected by Nick Jordan. This limited edition disk will be played at The Temple, 100 Great Bridgewater Street, on Sunday November 23 - 8.30 to 10.30pm, and copies will be given away free on the night.
