Jacob Cartwright and Nick Jordan's collaborative practice is cross-disciplinary, encompassing film, drawing, painting, photography, objects, publications and events. From invasive species and ancient oaks to ornithologist explorers and marginal communities, the artists utilise an improvised working method, seeking out the interconnections between natural, cultural and social histories.
Cartwright & Jordan's work has been exhibited widely, through exhibitions, film festivals, international residencies and public commissions, including British Textile Biennial; Kunstmuseum, Bonn; Academia de Cine, Madrid; Innsbruck International Biennale; English Heritage; Whitstable Biennale; Musée du Quai Branly, Paris; The National Trust; Darwin State Museum, Moscow; Arts & Heritage; Book Works;The Swedenborg Society; The Manchester Museum; Headlands Center for the Arts, San Francisco.
